First part
of the Seth MacFarlane's satirical adventure of politically incorrect talking
teddy bear was a huge box-office success and one of the best US comedies in
this century, so the great expectations from the second movie were pretty much logical. Therefore, the disappointment with
the result was substantial.
Following
the similar cases of „Hangover 2” and „Machette kills”, everything that was to
go wrong, went wrong. The script is painstakingly shallow, the humor can only
be found in traces and is reduced to blatant vulgarities and self-parody. Even
the much appreciated critic of American society from the first one is gone. As
well as pretty much everything else that we loved.
„Ted 2”
is one of the biggest flops of modern US comedy sequels and a movie to avoid at
all costs.
