There is something so irresistible about Vin Diesel’s trashy,
corny and above all, hyper macho saga about cars, „Fast and the furious”.
Something that started as a low budget B-movie managed over the years to become
one of the highest grossing movie franchises ever, gathering the cult of
fanatical worshipers along that way. And if that wasn’t enough, it also
succeeded in reverting the golden rule of cinema by producing the sequels that
were of higher quality than the first couple of flicks.
Although Paul Walker sadly isn’t there anymore, Vin isn’t losing the momentum.
On the contrary, the cast is just growing when it comes to quality, so we can
now see some serious acting performed by Charlize Teron and Helen Mirren.
Diesel himself is giving his acting maximum, which is not much viewed as a
standalone feat, but is always nice to see. However, none of the aforementioned
can’t change the fact that the show is being literally stolen by Jason Statham
in one of the most memorable and hilarious sequences of the entire series, the
one with the baby inside an airplane.
Star casting isn’t the only thing growing, since the production
surpasses even its triumphant and spectacular predecessors. This time, we have
a giant wrecking ball destroying the BMWs, cars on remote control falling from
the buildings onto the Fifth avenue, as well as a whole Russian nuclear powered
submarine chasing our crew beneath the ice of the Northern sea fyord.
Humor is there as well, followed by trademark freshest
soundtrack and distant filming locations. New sequels are also there, lurking
around the traditional gathering of the crew at the very end for the eighth
time.
„The fate of the furious” is the latest addition to the largest
and most popular male franchise on the market and an excellent one as well.
